Does failure really exist if you’ve learned something?

Changing my mindset from “Why did this happen?” to “What can I learn?” has made a huge difference in my life. None of us is a finished product and we don’t need to have all the answers right now (even though I would love to have all the answers wouldn’t you?), but I can learn from the good, the bad and the ugly experiences I face in this life. Asking “why did this happen” makes me feel trapped.

Changing my why to what opens the gate that prevents me from progress

It also invites me to move forward and try again with the goal of learning.  This simple change also invites me to set my pride aside and to be gentle with myself when I make mistakes (you know like daily mistakes!), after all, isn’t that how we learn?

The true failure lies not in falling flat on our faces, but in failing to learn.
